A Group Home Operator (also known as a manager or administrator) is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of a licensed group home. This includes:

• Managing and scheduling staff

• Ensuring compliance with DBHDS regulations

• Overseeing resident care and safety

• Handling documentation, incident reports, and inspections

• Communicating with case managers, families, and state agencies

• Maintaining the home environment and meeting all licensing requirements

Operators play a critical role in making sure the home runs smoothly, stays in compliance, and provides a high-quality, supportive experience for every resident.

DSPs provide daily hands-on support to residents, including help with meals, bathing, dressing, medication reminders, transportation, and engaging in activities. They work closely with residents to promote independence, safety, and quality of life in a home-like environment.
